Hi, I'm Elise.

I am an IAP certified Professional Organizer and an AMS certified Montessori Teacher. I'm also a mother of a toddler, and I'm working two part-time jobs in order to help my family stay afloat in this economy. In other words — I understand. I understand frustrated tears, embarrasing, dusty piles of miscellaneous nonsense, and losing the same stupid things over and over again. I understand feeling like I am fighting a losing battle with my home, the place that is supposed to be my refuge from the rest of life. Over the last couple of years, I have taken several courses in interior design and home organization, and have discovered a passion for helping people work with their homes rather than against them.

Before becoming a professional organizing consultant, I was a Montessori primary teacher, where I had the privilege of working side-by-side with young children and their families.

A key pillar of Montessori philosophy is to look at "the whole child." In other words, look at all the ways a child may struggle or succeed emotionally, socially, physically, artistically, and academically. I wholeheartedly believe the same principle can be applied to our homes—our home's success is not just a matter of how our cleanup process works. It is a matter of looking at our whole self in the context of our home.

A disorganized bathroom when you're already running late is not typically conducive to a calm and grounded day. A messy room at the end of a long day only exacerbates irritation and impatience, rather than soothes them. As a certified professional organizer, I have developed a more holistic approach for organizing—one that helps you slow down and truly connect with your home.

It won't always be perfectly "aesthetic", but it will be what you need.
